Taken at the El Mocambo in toronto at the Neverending White Lights release party.
Anyone who knows good music knows Jimmy Gnecco. His range is amazing and his voice is the most mournful and powerful you might ever hear. He is the lead singer of the band "Ours." This show was an acoustic set where it was just jimmy on acoustic and one other musician on electric doing backround ambient sounds.
I always have a tough time with cropping so any suggestions are always welcome. Anything at all. I'm very new to band photography so this show was a crazy experience for me.
Camera: Canon 20D
Lense: Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM
It's amazing how crisp it is. Which flash did you use? The cropping is good because there's no "stage clutter". There's nothing worse than having too much noise in a photo with stands and amps and people's unattractive bodies. But you really caught a good expression and I don't hate the mic! That never happens. It actually adds to the photo because without it he would look kind of ridiculous.
Jimmy Gnecco is the perfect ambassador of under-nourished rock gods everywhere. You caught him in a really thoughtful moment, and you're lucky he wore such a cool coat. Imagine if he had worn a bomber jacket and a doo rag. Your photo would look pretty lame.
I could be single..... depends whose asking..... send me a profile shot and Ill compare you to the one I have now. if you look a little better then I'll make the switch. although your icon isn't that cool. so your off to a bad start.
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

That's right. You heard me.
If there is one thing that destroys live photoraphy. its a flash. Thats why I rented a lense. So I could still get enough light to not need a flash.
I love you. Are you single?
